MCSH Rating System

(1) creativity: is the music creative, refreshing, something that seems, almost, new, catching melodically( this category doesn't, necessarily, refer to technical ability)

(2) Lyrically:( when applicable) are the lyrics original, does it connect with a listener in a positive way,are the topics original or look at a non original topic in a new way

(3)swear words: This will be the count of swear words there are of the complete item being reviewed

(4)Spiritual content: This can be a tough one. I believe music is God breathed and an artist, who may not know Christ, can write something that is very Christ oriented. I know that, quite often, this can be untrue. I am mentioning this because we often will wait until a "christian" does a version of the song before we would view it as " Christ positive". So this category will rate the spiritual level based on the Christ oriented message betrayed in the content.

(5) Dark Themes: Do you feel down or depressed when listening to it? Does this music feed in to your depression? Do you sense darkness or fears when you listen to it?

(6)Overall: This will give you an idea, overall, if this is music we think will be a postive experience.






The ratingings will be out of 5 where applicable. Remember that these are our opinions and, as much as we hope they will reflect God, only between you and Him can you, ultimately, make a decision that benifts you most.
